Super Summer Arkansas is ran through the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, as a result of the Cooperative Program.
The Cooperative Program was launched in 1925 in order for Southern Baptists to pool their resources for the purpose of advancing God's Kingdom. The Cooperative Program is a scriptural, spiritual plan from God that helps Southern Baptists combine their resources to carry out the Great Commission. It enables us to do more together than we could ever do separately. It is our way of joining hands and hearts to support missions and ministry in our state, the nation, and the world. We work cooperatively to bring the lost to Christ, to minister to those in need, and to train those called to serve. Out of gratitude and obedience to God for what He has done, each person/family commits to give a tithe or portion of their income to the church. After that, the church then decides what percentage of those undesignated receipts (tithes & offerings) to send to the Arkansas Baptist State Convention. The Arkansas Baptist State Convention in its annual meeting decides how much will be used for missions, ministry, and education in the state and how much to forward to the Southern Baptist Convention for use primarily in international missions, national missions, and for the training of Christian ministers and missionaries in our seminaries.
