The genius behind Super Summer is its commitment to small group
discussion. Super Summer depends on godly college students helping
as small group leaders. We are currently recruiting 130
spirit-filled college students to help. Super Summer staffers are
trained how to be effective youth ministers (30 hours of ministry
training), and then given a small “youth group” for a week. Youth
Pastors and youth interns are welcome to serve as small group
leaders at Super Summer. We welcome any person who has completed
high school prior to June 2007 and under the age of 30 to apply as a
staff member. Apply online by visiting our
staffer resource center.

During Super Summer, schools or classes are designated by the colors
blue, green, orange, red, yellow, and new for 2008: camo. Super Summer is committed to
training teenagers to think Biblically! Our goal is to work
alongside of local churches in preparing high school students and
adults to defend their faith. Super Summer schools are committed to
helping students learn to 1) think Biblically by understanding a
Christian world view; 2) communicate their faith effectively; and 3)
point students to resources that will help them desire to learn
continually.

Super Summer Arkansas’ commitment is to equip young people to think
Biblically and communicate truth effectively in a secular culture.
Super Summer will intentionally train students in apologetics and
Christian worldview materials in order to begin preparing them to
stand strong for Jesus in a secular culture. Young people need to
know why they believe and develop at least a basic understanding of
other philosophies. Rather than be devoured by the wolves, young
Christians can learn to present logical reasons for their faith to
non-believing professors and students. Christian students can help
change their campuses for Christ by being prepared to give a gentle
answer for the faith they possess. Super Summer Arkansas wishes to
raise the bar of what youth leaders and pastors expect from a
Christian camp by joining with local church leaders to give students
valuable tools and training.

Students who attend Super Summer will be exposed to five pillars of
truth.
1) World Views: What is TRUE?
2) Human Nature: Who is man?
3) Defense of the faith: How do I know Christianity’s true?
4) Creation/Evolution: What are the origins of life and the
universe?
5) Campus Christianity: How should I live?
Super Summer Arkansas is for the more spiritually advanced student
who is serious about developing a deeper walk with Jesus. The
student who attends Super Summer for more than one year will be
exposed to teachings on Christian ethics; classes on cults and world
religions; as well as, penetrating teaching on science and culture
designed to help the Christian better understand and respond to
issues like genetic engineering, cloning, and other cultural issues.
Together with the local church we can build a bridge to a stronger
future as we prepare students to engage and survive a secular
culture, as they pursue truth.

Every young person deserves a trained youth leader! Think of Super
Summer as the place to train your lay leaders in the basics of youth
ministry. The youth ministry school will help your youth staff
develop a Jesus Focused strategy for reaching teenagers with the
gospel of Jesus Christ.
